Project Description

The client required an existing window to be removed and filled in, and 2 new windows to be installed, with all the associated Oak frame work involved in making the new aperatures.

We removed the old window and installed 3 reclaimed oak studs, using a traditional joint called a slip tenon, which enabled us to build in as much structural integrity as possible over any modern method, whilst also maintaining ancient repair techniques to the house.

Once all the aperatures were prepared, again using original & reclaimed oak, we installed 2 new bespoke windows that had been made to measure and to match the other existing windows on the property. Window surrounds & decorative sills were again all made and installed to match so that embellishments were fluent throughout.
